The riparian restoration demonstration at Castroville Regional Park is part of the implementation of the Medina River Below Diversion Lake Watershed Protection Plan (WPP). This demonstration project will showcase practical, on-the-ground restoration techniques that help stabilize streambanks, filter runoff, and improve habitat using native plants.
By participating, volunteers help advance watershed protection goals while contributing to long-term improvements in stream health, water quality, and resilience of the Medina River.

Funding for this project was provided by the Texas State Soil and Water Conservation Board through the State Nonpoint Source Grant Program.
